Celebrating its 55th year, here are our top agency picks from The Hatch Awards 2015.
The Francis W. Hatch Awards, presented by The Ad Club, announced the 2015 winners last night at The House of Blues in Boston. Agency Spotter was in the house to see some of the best New England talent in the creative branding and marketing space. With over 1,000 pieces of work entered for consideration, 195 agencies, in-house creative shops and students took home Hatch Bowls. Click here to see the full list of winners.
With many impressive entries, here are six outstanding Boston agencies that caught our eye.
Winners
Best in Show – Mullen Lowe for Jet Blue’s Flying it Forward campaign
For two years in a row, Mullen Lowe took home the prestigious prize of “Best in Show.” This years entry with Jet Blue showcased the kinds of amazing work some brands like Jet Blue are doing to make the world a better place, even if it’s just a free flight.
Gold for Online Video – MMB for UNICEF’s Elika’s Escape
In addition to winning Gold for Online Video, MMB also took home Gold in Public Service Single Entry, Best Spot for Superbudget Under $15,000 Single Entry, Unconventional Format, and Cause Related Marketing Single Entry. So to say Elika’s Escape was a hit at #Hatch55 is an understatement.
Gold for Public Service Broadcast – Daughters & Howard for Center for Science in the Public Interest’s Change the Tune campaign
Also taking home Gold in Cause Related Marketing and Online Video Single Entry, the “Change the Tune” campaign uses Coca-Cola’s old “Hilltop” ad song to show the negative impact of sugary drinks on our society.
Gold for Direct Response Broadcast Campaign – Arnold Worldwide for Progressive’s Game Night/Tapas/Danny Boy
Featuring our favorite Progressive Insurance sales rep Flo, Arnold Worldwide gives us a brief but hilarious look into life that the Flo household.
Gold for Social Media – Sleek Machine for Bob’s Stores World’s Most Boring Post campaign
New agency Sleek Machine walked away with 13 Hatch Bowls capping off an impressive year for the agency. The “World’s Most Boring Post” campaign showed off how even the most boring social media campaign can generate buzz for a company.
Silver for Cause Related Marketing Single Entry – Embryo Creative for Boston Fire Department’s Cancer
Firefighter’s face danger everyday, not only because they are fighting fires but because many are losing the fight against fire-related cancers. This powerful video gives us a look into the family, friends and colleagues of those fallen heroes and brings awareness to an issue that isn’t often spoken about.
